Our highly skilled and passionate team of psychologists have dedicated their careers to improving the lives of others through excellence in psychology services. We operate following gold-standard protocols, stay up-to-date with new additions to evidence-based practice, recognise you for the unique person you are and the stage of life you’re at, and stay with you every step of the way. Your success is our success.

A to Z Psychology is led by the vision of experienced psychologist, Dr Nicole Hess. This vision is to offer a supportive and nurturing clinic without the labels that can affect how a person is treated, but instead seeing and connecting with the real person who is so much more complex than a diagnosis can begin to explain. Paired with leading neuroscience, evidence-based and effective therapies, Nicole and her team greatly value the ability to help make significant changes in the lives of their patients, and don’t take it for granted.
Nicole is passionate about working with children and adolescents who experience neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, and information processing delays. Part of this involves working with caregivers to bridge the gap of understanding when it comes to perceptual and reasoning differences that accompany a learning disability, and how these differences might affect the child’s experience of the world and thus their behaviour. She also holds a specialist interest, as well as her doctorate degree, in using non-pharmacological protocols to support and improve physiological and cognitive outcomes in older adults with mild cognitive impairment and dementia.

Rebecca is a dedicated and compassionate registered psychologist specialising in trauma recovery and emotional wellbeing. Committed to creating a respectful, non-judgmental space, she empowers clients to navigate their challenges and foster personal growth.
With extensive experience supporting diverse populations, including Defence Force members, their families, and individuals funded through the NDIS, Rebecca excels in working with clients 16 years and over, with ASD and other complex needs delivering a neuro-affirming, person-centred therapy that is both empowering and transformative.
Understanding the profound impact of trauma on mental health, self-identity, and relationships, Rebecca helps clients rebuild a sense of safety, confidence, and connection. Her therapeutic approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals.
Drawing on evidence-based modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Imagery Rescripting, narrative therapy, and mindfulness-based strategies, Rebecca supports clients in overcoming trauma, anxiety, depression, and other psychosocial challenges.
In addition to her expertise in psychology, Rebecca brings over 20 years of experience in the fitness industry, which informs her holistic understanding of the mind-body connection and its role in overall wellbeing. This unique perspective enhances her ability to support clients in achieving balanced, meaningful change.
Currently, Rebecca is available exclusively via telehealth on Tuesday mornings at 9 AM and 10 AM, offering flexible and accessible support for her clients. She is passionate about fostering authenticity and acceptance in her practice and feels privileged to guide individuals on their journey toward healing and resilience.

Charlie is an AASW-accredited Social Worker with a Master of Social Work (QUT) and over 15 years of combined frontline and leadership experience in mental health, child protection, disability and family services.
Social workers bring a unique lens to counselling and supporting people through change, trauma, grief, and growth. They bring psychosocial assessment, trauma-informed care, and social justice principles into their practice, making them essential contributors to holistic and person-centred care.
Charlie's approach blends therapeutic support with practical problem-solving, helping people not only process what they’re going through but also finding a way forward in systems that often feel overwhelming.
We recognise the impact and value that structured, evidence-based programs, or ‘learning pathways’, can offer our clients - and the comprehensive research and thought that goes into them. That’s why we offer specific learning pathways, such as the Westmead Feelings Program for autism, to best support our clients facing specific circumstances or challenges.
If you have any questions about our available programs or your suitability for them, get in touch with our team.
